A. Personal Information Collection Statement and Explanation of Privacy Policy
Please read the following points carefully before providing any personal data.
- Definitions
- Unless the context otherwise requires, the following terms have the meanings ascribed to them in this Privacy Policy.
- Internet transmission is not absolutely secure** 2.
- As the Internet is an open system, the transmission of emails or other electronic messages to UNISOFT through the Internet is not absolutely secure and UNISOFT does not guarantee or warrant the security of messages transmitted through the Internet and other electronic communication systems and UNISOFT shall not be responsible for any loss or damage resulting from the transmission of emails or other electronic messages to UNISOFT or UNISOFT's users through the Internet and other electronic communication systems. UNISOFT shall not be liable for any damages or losses suffered by the User in the event that the User sends e-mail or other electronic messages to UNISOFT through the Internet and other electronic communication systems or in the event that UNISOFT sends e-mail or other electronic messages at the User's request.
- Purpose of Collection and Use
- UNISOFT does not collect any personal information about visitors other than the personal information provided by the visitors themselves for the purpose of identifying visitors to any UNISOFT website.
- UNISOFT is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of the personal data it holds. By providing personal data to UNISOFT, you agree that the personal data may be used for the following purposes:

- UNISOFT is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of personal data held by it about its clients or non-clients (as applicable). However, UNISOFT may, in its sole discretion, provide such data to the following persons for the purposes of direct marketing (where it has their consent (which includes an indication of no objection)) or for other purposes permitted under this Privacy Policy:

- You may request access to and correction of your personal data (if any) held by UNISOFT. If you wish to request access to or correction of your personal data held by UNISOFT, you may notify the Privacy Officer of UNISOFT in writing at 6/F, Kimberley Plaza, 45-47 Kimberley Road, Tsimshatsui, Hong Kong, and a reasonable fee may be charged by UNISOFT for the processing of any data access request.

- If you are a customer of any member of UNISOFT, the Personal Data Addendum to the Customer Agreement and Addendum will apply in lieu of this Privacy Policy in respect of the relevant account as this Privacy Policy is of a general nature. Where the personal data is collected through an application form for an event (e.g. attendance at a seminar), the personal data collection statement on the application form for that event will supplement this Privacy Policy. In the event of an inconsistency, the Personal Information Collection Statement on the application form for that event will prevail but only to the extent of the inconsistency.

- UNISOFT endeavors to provide accurate and reliable information in relation to the information on any of its employees' websites but does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy or reliability of such information and accepts no liability (whether in tort or contract or otherwise) for any loss or damage suffered by you arising from any error or omission or for any other reason whatsoever.

- By accessing any pages of the Site, you agree to the above contractual terms. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you should not view or otherwise use the Site or any of its contents. If there is any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions of this Privacy Policy, the English version shall prevail.
“Personal Data” means personal data as defined in the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
“UNISOFT” means UniSoft Limited.
4.1 Processing applications for services from clients, non-clients (where applicable) and persons for whom the client acts as guarantor or provides third party security, and the day-to-day operation of the services provided by UNISOFT;
4.2 Client relationship management (including but not limited to the Long Term Patronage Rewards Program or the Special Offers and Rewards Program), and non-client (e.g. attendees and participants of seminars and other events) relationship management;
4.3 Maintaining the credit history of the Client or any Guarantor for present or future reference;
4.4 the improvement, enhancement, design and development of existing or new financial services or related products for use by customers (including, where appropriate, the provision of financial advice to customers);
4.5 to promote financial and related services, products and goods where the data subject has given consent (including an indication of no objection) to the use of his/her personal data for direct marketing purposes for a member of UNISOFT or a company outside the Group, either on an account application form or other application form or by other means;
4.6 determine the amount of indebtedness between the Client or any Guarantor and UNISOFT;
4.7 to collect outstanding amounts from the Client or any Guarantor;
4.8 to comply with requests or demands for disclosure of information made under applicable laws or regulations;
4.9 to cause the actual or proposed assignee of UNISOFT in a merger, consolidation, reorganization or otherwise to appraise the transaction intended to be assigned;
4.10 any other purpose as may be disclosed from time to time on the website of the UNISOFT Member Company or on the Application Form;
4.11 commencing or conducting a defense or otherwise participating in any legal or administrative proceeding or inquiry before any court or authority;
4.12 administrative, telecommunications, computer, payment, debt collection or other services provided to UNISOFT in connection with the conduct of its business that are sought or obtained; and
4.13 any use directly or indirectly related or incidental to the above.
5.1 any agent, contractor or third party service provider (whether in Hong Kong or elsewhere) who provides administrative, telecommunications, computer, payment, debt collection, customer relationship management, marketing or other services to UNISOFT in connection with the operation of UNISOFT's business;
5.2 any branch or office of any member of UNISOFT in Hong Kong or elsewhere;
5.3 any person acting or proposing to act as a guarantor;
5.4 any person under a duty of confidentiality to UNISOFT (or any member of the Group) or who has undertaken to keep such information confidential;
5.5 any financial institution with which the Client transacts or proposes to transact;
5.6 credit reference agencies and, if the Client is in default, debt collection agencies;
5.7 any actual or proposed assignee or transferee of any member of UNISOFT;
5.8 any person to whom disclosure is required by law or any regulatory rule, including any rule, judgment, decision or award of a court, arbitral tribunal, the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre Limited, governmental, regulatory or other body or agency, whether pursuant to a legal or regulatory requirement applicable to any UNISOFT member or otherwise; or any notice given by any company by virtue of section 329 of the Securities and Futures Ordinance. notice given by any company by virtue of section 329 of the SFO.
B. Objection to the use of personal data for direct marketing purposes
Request to Stop Receiving Direct Marketing Data
Pursuant to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (the “Ordinance”), you may opt out from receiving direct marketing materials at any time after the provision of the relevant personal data. You may make a request to cease receiving direct marketing data from UNISOFT by contacting us at the following address and UNISOFT will process your request free of charge.
